Casa Turen, from San Andres, Mexico, was founded by the Turen family in 1880. It has the largest farm in Mexico and is renowned for the quality of San Andres Maduro tobacco grown outside of Veracruz. It is also a major producer of Maduro tobacco worldwide and is considered one of the best eggplants in the world. Through the efforts of five generations, Casathurn has become the largest tobacco producer in Mexico, and its leader Alberto Turrent has preserved the tradition of planting, harvesting tobacco leaves, and handcrafting cigars that began in the 19th century, to produce excellent tobacco leaves and cigar rolls. The rich experience and professional skills of the master have greatly increased the brand's visibility.
