The Newman family hoped to create a more intense and complex version of the Diamond Crown series, which received great response. With the support and assistance of two legendary cigar families, Arturo Fuente and Oliva, the Maximus series was born as an extension of the Diamond Crown top cigar series. It was created through the joint planning of the three major cigar families and launched on the occasion of the company's 110th anniversary. The Maximus series uses special Ecuadorian tobacco, specifically grown in the El Bajo region of Oliva, Ecuador. El Bajo is located in a primitive valley where natural minerals and nutrients have been washed down by centuries of rainfall, making the soil exceptionally fertile. The tobacco grown is carefully selected and fermented, with unparalleled quality and taste.
