Sim ó n Beltr é is the fourth generation descendant of a cigar leaf plantation family in the Azua region of southern Dominican Republic. In 1976, at the age of 5, he began learning how to grow cigar leaves under the guidance of his grandfather (Don Titi) and father (Alcibiades Beltr é). The family mainly cultivates unique Andullo cigar leaves with a hundred years of history, which are produced through rare fermentation techniques and used for high-end handmade cigar rolling. At the same time, they bring an annual output of over 2 million pounds of handmade cigars to the local community. Simon's early exposure to cigar leaf cultivation and processing techniques has developed his current knowledge and passion for enjoying cigars, leading to the birth of SB Company in 2017.
