Cuesta Rey was once the official cigar of King Alfonso XIII of Spain in the 19th century and was awarded the title of "Tobacco Supplier to the King and Court of Spain". Founded in 1884 by Angel LaMadrid Cuesta, a renowned Spanish handmade cigar master, Peregrino Rey joined the ranks and led Cuesta Rey to become a world-renowned premium cigar brand.
