Perla del Mar cigars, translated as "Pearl of the Ocean", were originally an old Cuban discontinued brand, originally produced by JC Newman in Tampa, Florida. Today, the improved cigars are made at the famous JC Newman PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Maduro series uses the finest Nicaraguan aged tobacco and a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper with chocolate, leather, wood and espresso flavors.
